Particularly if he continues 2018 as he finished 2017; with a gorgeous double century.
We don’t care it was in a losing cause. Toiling valiantly to reach 244 not out and prevent an Aussie whitewash is like victory itself! Celebrating the New Year as everyone should; tapping a single down to long on. A glitzy, booming, expensive firework display on the London Eye? Forget it mate. Those of us who stayed up late to watch Cookie instead were the ones who really partied in style.
