On today’s funny cricket podcast we answer some BIG questions, cutting to the very core of our existence. A heated discussion over the wonders of the universe, time and space… Or we pretend to interview Professor Brian Cox and analyse seagull poop at Lord’s!
Consequently Whitto presents another silly satirical show as he dives into the cricketing week nose first. And there’s one topic on his raw lips to begin with; yesterday’s phenomenal ODI between England and the West Indies. Because how bloody good was Jos Buttler? Walloping 12 sixes. Stampeding from 50 to 150 in just 31 balls. Helping England reach their third highest one-day total. Out of this world.
Mind you, so too was Chris Gayle with 162 as the Windies came too close for comfort. After these two greats of white ball cricket performed at the top of their game last night, we obviously have a burning question. If Gayle’s nickname is ‘Universe Boss,’ what should Buttler’s be? ‘Universe Joss’ sounds a bit… well samey, so Whitto calls on his old pal Brian ‘Coxey’ Cox to find more wonders of the universe. As always our impressions deliver with all the quality of a hungover postman…
As Brian would say, ‘things can only get better’ as we turn our attention elsewhere. We’ve got top notch analysis of England’s women, plus reveal the mysterious reason why Duanne Olivier has stuck two fingers up to South Africa. Let’s hope you won’t be sticking any fingers up to us! With Whitto on his jolly holidays next week you’ll need to savour the pod.
